Getting there from Melbourne: About 250 kilometres or three hours via Yea, Mansfield, Merrijig and Mirimbah. Mostly single-lane road with some overtaking lanes.
Getting there from Sydney: About 790 kilometres or nine hours via Wodonga along the multi-laned Hume Highway and Hume Freeway. Exit the freeway at the single-lane Midland Highway just south of Benalla for the last 110 kilometres of the journey, travelling via Mansfield and Mirimbah.
Chains compulsory for overnight visitors; day visitors watch for daily updates. Chain hire in Mansfield, Merrijig and Mirimbah.
Airports/transport: Coach connections available from Melbourne airport, coach services available from Melbourne and Mansfield. Helicopter transfers also available.
